Molly Kimball, RD, CSSD, is a well-respected nutrition expert, specializing in what she refers to as ‘lifestyle’ nutrition: teaching people how to integrate real-world nutrition changes into their daily lives, and to incorporate their favorite indulgences into balanced, healthy diets. An established nutrition consultant, she is a registered dietitian, and board certified as a specialist in sports dietetics.
As a nutrition columnist for The Times-Picayune newspaper, Molly covers the latest trends in the nutrition and the fitness industry. She is also the nutrition and fitness expert for WGNO News, with a weekly segment on Good Morning New Orleans, Get the Skinny with Molly.
Molly appears regularly as a nutritional expert on local and national news. She has been featured in national media, including The New York Times, Vogue, Newsweek, Shape, Fitness, Runner’s World, Wine Enthusiast, Cosmopolitan, ABCNews.com, WebMD, and CNN.com.
As the nutrition program manager at Ochsner’s Elmwood Fitness Center, Molly works with clients in reducing body fat, building lean muscle, endurance training, disordered eating, and incorporating nutrition into real-world eating. A member of the National Speakers Association, Molly provides customized nutrition presentations to a wide range of audiences, translating the latest nutrition information into practical, easy-to-use advice. She serves as a nutrition lecturer for continuing education courses for medical professionals, and is a preceptor for dietetic interns. She also collaborates with popular New Orleans chefs in preparing and presenting fun, upbeat, and nutritious cooking classes and through Ochsner, has worked with Louisiana Superdome's Executive Chef to incorporate healthier options at every concession stand.
Molly graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with two Bachelor of Science degrees: She earned a B.S in Dietetics (1998) and a B.S. in Food Science and Technology (1999). She completed her dietetic internship at Touro Infirmary in 1999. Molly lives in New Orleans with her husband, Brad Schlotterer.
